Recipe: When Chocolate Meets Olive Oil

Chocolate and olive oil might sound unexpected at first. But once you try it, it just makes sense. Rich dark chocolate, flaky sea salt, and fresh extra virgin olive oil come together in a dessert that feels simple, intense, and surprisingly addictive.

Recipe: When Chocolate Meets Olive Oil
Ingredients
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 150 ml milk
  • A few strips of lemon peel
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Sea salt
  • A generous drizzle of GOTA Finishing Oil (yes, really)

Total Time: 45 minutes

Prep: 10 minutes

Cook: 5 minutes

Chill (fridge): minimum 30 minutes

1. Warm the milk
Gently heat the milk in a saucepan with the lemon peel and a pinch of cinnamon.

2. Melt the chocolate
Chop the dark chocolate and place it in a bowl. Remove the lemon peel from the milk, then slowly pour the warm milk over the chocolate. Let it sit for a few seconds and stir until silky and glossy.

3. Chill with sea salt
Pour the mixture onto a flat plate or shallow dish and finish with a pinch of sea salt. Place it in the fridge until set and nicely cold.

4. Finish with GOTA
Serve with an extra pinch of salt and a generous drizzle of GOTA Finishing Oil on top.
