The plates are empty. Nobody is leaving. That’s sobremesa. In Spain, a meal doesn’t necessarily end when the food does. You stay. You talk. Someone orders another coffee. One story becomes three. And suddenly you’ve been sitting there for hours. We liked that idea so much, we built a club around it. Sobremesa Club brings people together around good food, shared tables and nowhere else to be. Just a really good table.
Good food brings people to the table. Sobremesa keeps them there.
We believe some of the best things happen around a table. A plate passed from one person to another. Bread dipped in good olive oil. A conversation you didn’t expect to have. Dessert arriving when nobody really needs dessert. Sobremesa Club is our way of bringing a little more of the Mediterranean way of living into real life. Slower meals. Better conversations. More sharing. And yes, plenty of GOTA flowing around the table.

What'sOn theTable?
Every Sobremesa Club dinner is a little different. The city changes, the menu changes, and the people around the table definitely change. But the feeling stays the same.
Expect food made for sharing, one long table, a restaurant, chef or host we love, and plenty of GOTA being passed around. There might be a few conversation cards on the table if you need them, but mostly, we just create the setting and let the evening unfold naturally.
No presentations. No networking. No forced fun. Just good food, new people and enough time to see where the conversation takes you.

From Jaén to a table near you. Sobremesa Club is created by GOTA, our 100% Picual Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Jaén, Spain. Because to us, olive oil has never been just an ingredient. It’s the splash in the pan. The drizzle over tomatoes. The bread in the middle of the table. It’s part of cooking. Part of sharing. Part of staying around for a little longer. But we brought some cards just in case. You might find the GOTA Card Game somewhere on the table. Pick one up. Ask the question. Ignore it completely and start another conversation. Whatever gets people talking.
